The main purpose of this ongoing blog will be to track planetary extreme, or record temperatures related to climate change. Any reports I see of recently reported ETs will be listed below the main topic of the day. I’ll refer to extreme or record temperatures as ETs (not extraterrestrials).😉

Dear Diary: I’ve often blogged on the shameful practices of fossil fuel companies to extend their highly profitable carbon polluting ways. One of the other biggest roadblocks toward a green sustainable future are utilities and their congressional lobbyists, that want to impose tax burdens for residents who want to switch to solar power, often with great success. It’s high time to confront utilities on this practice.
Just like oil and coal companies, utilities should be transitioning towards green energy. Some do, investing heavily in solar farms, which get hooked up to their energy mix to go to their grid. Others don’t. The following article from PV Magazine goes into at length as to why we should confront utilities:
