Main Topic: A Kids Comic Shows How Heat Can Ruin Your Day
Dear Diary. The most important thing that we can do for kids is to give them a strong education. That includes getting informed on how our carbon pollution is ruining our climate. Kids need to be introduced to the climate crisis, which is why I’ve been writing my kids World of Thermo books. After all, future generations will need to deal with it and hopefully cone up with solutions to solve it.
Putting cartoons in front if kids is one of the best methods to get their attention for educational purposes. The Washington Post issued an article this week on how extreme heat can affect their lives, which I am reposting today. Admittedly some images depict what will happen during the most extreme heat events, but as we have seen over the past couple of decades, these are becoming more common:
